Advanced Diploma in Journalism
在漢博公立理工學院
關於課程
Humber’s Journalism advanced diploma program is designed to produce dynamic storytellers who are immediately ready to work in a variety of media platforms as reporters, broadcasters, editors, producers and digital content managers. Our program is also ideal for those looking to go into communications or public relations.
As a journalism student, you’ll gain hands-on skills that are at the forefront of today’s journalism industry, including reporting the news, creating broadcast stories, writing feature articles, capturing high quality images and creating compelling digital presentations. You will learn how to report on diverse communities, how to use data to inform news and choose from electives in your third year that will allow you to focus on radio, TV, magazine, print, online or investigative journalism. Everywhere you look, people are tweeting, posting, sharing, writing, shooting video, creating audio projects and more. But how can you tell what’s accurate, what has merit and what is important The need for news and expertise – the hallmark of journalism at Humber – has never been greater.
While, historically, many graduates have found work as a reporter for a newspaper, a radio or TV station or as a magazine feature writer, today you may be just as likely to see your career develop in digital communications, either working for an enterprise or developing your own independent entrepreneurial brand.
