Entry requirements for 里茲貝克特大學

UCAS Tariff Points: 112 points required. (Minimum 72 from two A Levels or equivalent, excluding General Studies. A minimum of 40 points at A Level or equivalent must be from a Science, Physical Education or Sports Science subject. If you are studying Biology, Chemistry or Physics to meet this requirement you must also achieve a 'Pass' in the practical assessment, where that practical assessment is separated (from 2017)).

GCSES:
GCSE at Grade C are required in Maths, English Language and at least one Science subject (Grade 4 for those sitting their GCSE from 2017 onwards). Key Skills Level 2, Functional Skills Level 2 and the Certificate in Adult Literacy/Numeracy are accepted in place of GCSEs.
ACCESS TO HE DIPLOMA:
In a relevant subject. Pass overall with a minimum of 112 UCAS tariff points.
SCOTTISH AWARDS:
Minimum of 5 subjects at Grade B at Higher Level.
IRISH LEAVING CERTIFICATE:
Minimum of 5 subjects at Grade C1 or above at Higher Level of which at least 3 must be at B2.
PERSONAL STATEMENT
Applicants for this course are not interviewed, therefore, it is important that you address in your personal statement the following:
High level of interest, research & knowledge of the sport therapy profession
Evidence of work experience in a sporting/therapy environment
Excellent communication skills

Ability to work consistently
Ability to integrate information & skills across different subject areas
Ability to solve problems

SELECTION CRITERIA:
We may use selection criteria based on your personal attributes, experience and/or commitment to the area of study. This information will be derived from your personal statement and reference and will only be used if you have met the general entry requirements. All successful applicants are expected to pay for their student membership of The Society of Sports Therapists, details will be provided at the commencement of the course (approx 150.00 pounds for the three year undergraduate period, though this fee may be liable to change).

INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE
25 Points

IELTS:
IELTS 6.0 with no skills below 5.5, or an equivalent qualification. The University provides excellent support for any applicant who may be required to undertake additional English language courses.
TOEFL iBT: Total of 79 to 89, Minimum for Reading (18), Listening (17), Speaking (20) and Writing (17)
