Master of Business Administration in Educational Leadership (FLEX)

The MBA & Educational Leadership joint degree program offers students the opportunity to acquire a solid foundation in both business and education. Designed to develop the administrative skills required in today?s educational systems, the MBA and Educational Leadership program provides a framework where excellent education and sound business practices can flourish. The MBA/Ed. Leadership will provide an additional option for business students in educational leadership. The program will enhance the student's marketability in private and public sector education while providing students with an understanding of the cultures of both business and education. Core courses from both colleges will ensure that recipients of the joint degree will bring to their future positions an extraordinary medley of skills to manage human and financial resources efficiently while employing expertise in instructional supervision and training in both education and corporate settings. This program of study will enhance training and skills for those currently in the area of business and financial management in the field of education. The Lehigh MBA and Educational Leadership degree is a joint, 45 credit hour program.
The MELBA degree focuses on the critical skills needed to make sound decisions?budgetary, personnel, and planning?that are required in today's educational systems. It also offers the opportunity to acquire a solid foundation in both business and education. While supporting expertise in the area of instructional supervision and training are emphasized, MELBA also provides a framework where excellent education and sound business practices can flourish.

This 45 credit joint degree program is taught in an interactive manner by faculty who are leaders in their field with a wealth of practical experience. The credit breakdown is as follows:

The Lehigh University College of Business FLEX MBA part-time online curriculum focuses on technology, leadership, and relevance to individual students and their workplaces. It introduces an applied capstone experience (ACE), expands leadership education to include personal, relational, and team leadership skills, as well as experiences addressing inclusive, inspirational, and ethical leadership situations, and weaves data generation, analysis and visualization throughout the curriculum.

The FLEX MBA is a 36-credit program that is completed at a part-time, personalized pace, on campus or online through ClassroomLIVE technology, or through a combination of both to fit busy schedules. The core is comprised of 24 credits, the remaining 12 credits are electives, from which a student may choose to specialize in a concentration area. On average, it takes a student about 3.5 years to complete this part-time MBA program. A student can choose to go at a faster or slower pace depending on their work or personal schedule.
