Entry requirements for 長島大學布魯克林校區

Transcripts for all high school and post-high school institutions attended.
All transcripts must be submitted in English or translated into English by a professional translation company.
Transfer students who studied outside the US must submit a NACES evaluation in order to receive transfer credit.
Proof of English language proficiency testing (we accept IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, Duolingo, SAT and ACT).
Applicants may be eligible for an English language proficiency testing waiver based on citizenship and/or prior education where English is the first language.
SAT or ACT score (optional).
Two Letters of Recommendation.
Personal Statement or Essay.

Have a previous bachelors degree and maintain a college GPA of 3.3 or better (88% or higher).
Achieve grades of B+ or better (3.3/88% or higher) in each of the following courses: Biology, Chemistry, Anatomy & Physiology I & II, Microbiology, and Statistics.
Note: All science courses must have been completed within 5 years of acceptance to the program.

Upon acceptance to the nursing major, freshman (and transfer students whose English and mathematics courses have not been accepted by the University) are required to take a placement exam to assess skills in reading, English and Mathematics. Exam results are used to program the student’s first courses in the appropriate English and mathematics courses.
