Our BSc (Hons) Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry degree not only offers a firm grounding in general chemistry, research methods and laboratory techniques, but also provides the specialist skills and understanding you’ll need to pursue a future in pharmaceutical chemistry. We’ve developed the course with the pharmaceutical industry in mind – ensuring that our curriculum covers all the skills and strengths that employers demand, and that our placements offer the practical experience on which you can build a career.
You’ll focus on areas like drug testing and efficacy, drug design, including computer-based drug design, drug action mechanisms and the quality control of pharmaceuticals – equipping you for a role in the drug discovery industry.

26 IB Diploma Points including HL 5 in Chemistry and HL 4 or SL 5 in English and HL or SL 4 in Mathematics
IELTS- 6.0 overall with no individual element below 5.5.TOEFL Overall score: 79 With no individual test score below:Listening: 17,Reading: 18,Speaking: 20,Writing : 17

A levels ?? to include grade C or above in Chemistry (with Pass in Practical Assessment) or Applied Science.
BTEC Extended Diploma in Applied Science ? DMM, to include relevant chemistry modules.
Pass Access to HE Diploma in Science with a minimum score of 106 UCAS tariff points, to include relevant chemistry units.
Equivalent qualifications and combinations will be considered, including Extended Project (EPQ). AS levels (or qualifications equivalent to AS level) are not accepted.
GCSE grade C/4 or above in English Language or Pass in Level 2 Functional Skills English
and
GCSE grade C/4 or above in Mathematics or Pass in Level 2 Functional Skills Mathematics.
