Bachelor of Science in Ceramic Engineering
關於課程
Consider studying ceramic engineering, where you can explore the unique characteristics of ceramics and their countless practical applications.
Ceramic engineers produce materials vital to many advanced and traditional technologies: electronic and optical assemblies, aerospace parts, biomedical components, nuclear components, high temperature, corrosion resistant assemblies, fuel cells, and electronic packaging. Ceramic engineers generally work with inorganic, nonmetallic materials processed at high temperatures. In the classroom, ceramic engineering students learn the relationships between engineering properties and the chemistry and structure of ceramic materials and go on to apply these scientific principles to the design of new formulations and manufacturing processes. If you are interested in the ?why? behind material properties, ceramic engineering will definitely interest you.
As a ceramic engineer, your work can involve developing various products such as exterior tiles for the Space Station, cathodes for fuel cells, conductive ceramics for microprocessors and solar panels, bioactive glasses for curing liver cancer, and flexible prosthetics for Paralympic athletes. You may even work on lenses for night-vision goggles used by pilots.

如何申請
Entry requirements for 密蘇里科技大學
Submit official paper copies of transcripts from all secondary schools you have attended that show courses taken, grades earned, rank in class, grade point average and class of division earned, if applicable. Official transcripts are paper copies sent directly from the issuing institution to Missouri S&T and must bear the institution’s seal and appropriate signature. Transcripts must show your most recent semester of completed coursework. Missouri S&T seeks international students who have a strong probability of succeeding at the university. Admission is selective and based on a combination of secondary school core curriculum (a set of required secondary school classes), ACT and/or SAT composite scores (if available), grade point average (GPA), and class rank percentile. (For non-ranking schools, GPA will be used to evaluate your application). In addition, international students must fulfill Missouri S&T’s English language proficiency requirement. Minimum English proficiency test score requirements are 79 for TOEFL, 6.0 for IELTS.
