Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Studies - Counselor Education
在俄亥俄州立大学
關於課程
The PhD in Counselor Education program prepares counselors and scholars for leadership positions in the counseling profession. Ranked as the No. 1 program in the nation, students are taught the leadership and research roles of counselor education, supervision and advanced counseling practices. The CACREP Accredited doctoral program in Counselor Education prepares students who already have a master's degree in couseling to become professors and leaders in the counseling field. Our graduates make contributions to the education of future counselors and provide leadership within the human service professions. Students apply a scientist-practitioner model of study with an emphasis on theory, practice, leadership, supervision and research. These elements are inseparable from the core skills of professional counseling. Together, they form a common branch of knowledge and skills essential to PhD students. Throughout the program, students will explore a number of research opportunities and are able to collaborate with and work alongside Ohio State counselor educators and other counseling leaders in the profession.
