Master of Science in Counseling - Mental Health Counseling

Train for licensure and professional counseling roles in mental health, community, human service and school settings. Degree options include mental health counseling or school counseling. Both are accredited by the Council for Accreditation for Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) and have a strong focus on social justice and helping underserved populations.
Students must complete a minimum of 60 credit hours for the mental health counseling and school counseling options. This includes 100 clock-hours of practicum and 600 hours of internship as well as a creative component portfolio that demonstrates competency. Students wishing to complete a thesis instead of a creative component must complete 66 credit hours.

Entry requirements for 俄克拉荷馬州立大學
To be considered for admission to the program, applicants
must have:
Bachelor’s degree with at least 2.75 GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
Personal qualities that are assets for those in a helping profession
Career goals and objectives that are consistent with the program
Current resume/vita
Three letters of recommendation
Official GRE or MAT scores (less than five years old)
Statement of professionally-related experience and goals
Finalists will be asked to participate in an on-campus interview
Submit official transcripts from all previously attended institutions
Applicants for whom English is a second language are required to demonstrate an acceptable level of spoken English usually by submitting a TOEFL or IELTS score. TOEFL score of 79 (internet based test) 550 (paper based test) is required. Alternatively, an official IELTS, academic stream, examination with a minimum overall band score of 6.5 will satisfy the English proficiency requirements for admission to a graduate program.
