Our BA/BMus develops essential skills that can help you to adapt and thrive in a fast-changing, globalised economy and an evolving music industry. Your BA/BMus will support your future career by helping you to develop strong capabilities, including advanced communication skills, critical and creative thinking, the ability to research and evaluate information, the ability to analyse problems and seek solutions, adaptability, and an awareness of different perspectives. You’ll be well-positioned to pursue new opportunities opened up by developments in society, technology and the music industry.

You can study topics ranging from human evolution and the development of human culture to aspects of modern society. Our courses include: Analysis of past human behaviour and culture through what has been left behind How humans have evolved and continue to respond to changing circumstances Cultures, societies and ways of life, ranging from tribal communities to postmodern societies Music and its social functions in different cultures and societies You can take a major in Anthropology as one of your two BA majors (a double major). You will need to pass at least 120 points (eight courses) towards each of your majors, including at least 45 points (three courses) at Stage III.
