The Ph.D. program at the Kroc Institute empowers students to become outstanding scholars and teachers who contribute to a growing body of peacebuilding knowledge and practice with the goal of addressing violence and alleviating human suffering.
Peace studies Ph.D. students entering the program have formal training and/or a degree in one of six partner disciplines for research and course work: anthropology, history, political science, psychology, sociology, or theology. The peace studies curriculum is integrated with these traditional disciplines in the humanities and social sciences to create a unique framework of study for each student. Students also have access to extensive research opportunities at the Institute and across Notre Dame.
The average time-to-degree is 5-6 years, depending on the joint area.

Entry requirements for 聖母大學
Applicants for admission must hold a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited American college or university, or from a foreign institution of acceptable standing and accredited by the governing educational body of the country by the time of graduate matriculation. If at that time an admitted applicant does not hold a bachelor’s degree, the Graduate School admission is void. Have earned at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale in your undergraduate degree. 80 (Internet-based) is questionable. TOEFL scores are valid for up to two years after the test date. The IELTS (International English Language Testing System) does not have or use institution codes. The minimum acceptable IELTS score is 7.0.
