Beginning in your first year of studies, you’ll take courses in each of the five streams of our Craft and Design degree: Glass, Ceramics, Textiles, Furniture and Industrial Design. You’ll understand how to combine multiple materials and processes into one project, helping you develop your own unique artistic voice.
Come be inspired by a community of like-minded people Our AA-wing at Trafalgar Campus breeds creativity, featuring five state-of-the-art studios located footsteps from each other. Learn and work with fellow artists who have a wide variety of skillsets, enjoying exposure to each step of their process.
Career Opportunities
A broader understanding of Craft and Design should be valuable as technologies and processes in the industry continue to evolve. The ability to identify potential in a variety of disciplines can lead to a successful career in such roles as: Entrepreneur, Designer
Small-batch Manufacturer, Collaborative Studio Owner, Artist, Craft and Design Teacher, Project Manager, Gallerist/Curator

Entry requirements for 謝爾丹理工學院
Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, including these required courses:
English, Grade 12 (ENG4U)
PLUS
One Visual Arts credit (Grade 11 or 12 U, M or O level or postsecondary credit course) or a portfolio*
Four* other Grade 12 credits (U or M)
Minimum 65% overall average
OR
Two semesters of postsecondary education, including required English and Visual Arts courses listed above, with a minimum 65% overall average.
Portfolio
*Applicants who have not completed a Visual Arts credit according to the requirements above will be asked to submit a portfolio. The Office of the Registrar will update your application in the Sheridan Application Portal to notify you if a portfolio is required. Please note that there is a portfolio assessment fee.
Applicants submitting a portfolio must have the English (ENG4U) or equivalent plus five other Grade 12 (U or M) credits.
Applicant Selection
Eligible applicants are selected based on previous academic achievement (the average of their six highest senior-level credits, including required courses above), plus the results of their portfolio, if required.
TOEFL IBT - overall score 88 with no individual section below 21
IELTS - overall score 6.5 with no individual band below 6.0
English language requirements
