The master's degree in Counseling and Psychology, with a concentration in School Psychology, provides graduates with the professional competencies in counseling and consultation needed to work with children at the elementary and secondary level. Children can present with a range of personal, behavioral, social, and academic challenges. School Psychologists help diagnose problems and plan interventions for at-risk children. This program prepares you to assess and intervene in a wide range of school-based situations. Our students gain assessment, counseling, and behavioral consultation skills qualifying them to work with individuals from ages 3 to 22. To obtain licensure, students in this concentration must also complete the Ed.S. program in School Psychology. Accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).

Entry requirements for 田納西理工大學
Undergraduate GPA: at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale
Undergraduate Coursework: Undergraduate coursework in psychology
Letters of Recommendation: three letters of recommendation from faculty members or other persons who have adequate knowledge of the applicant's professional qualities or potential for success as a graduate student
GRE: On the verbal portion, a score of at least 146 (new format) or 400 (old format), on the writing portion, a score of at least 140 (new format) or 400 (old format) as well as at least a 4.0 score on the analytical writing portion. Students who have successfully completed Tennessee Tech's Fast Track program and meet all other requirements for admission to graduate school may be exempted from taking the GRE.
IELTS - 6.0, TOEFL iBT - 79, TOEFL CBT - 213, TOEFL PBT - 550
