Postgraduate Diploma in Science - Optometry

The Postgraduate Diploma in Science (PGDipSci) is an opportunity for Bachelor of Science graduates to advance their qualifications. Pursue advanced study in your specialist area with the Postgraduate Diploma in Science. Extend your knowledge with coursework or try a project or dissertation as part of your diploma – the option is yours. The PGDipSci offers a pathway toward masters and doctoral study. The PGDipSci programme involves one year of full-time study, or up to four years of part-time study, after you have completed the requirements for the Bachelor of Science degree. A variety of study options are available for new BOptom graduates, practising optometrists and vision scientists to gain postgraduate qualifications in Optometry and Vision Science. The School of Optometry encourages both new and less-recent graduates to consider postgraduate study as it provides an opportunity to gain advanced knowledge in a specialised field. The school’s postgraduate programmes are designed to assist and enhance clinical, biomedical and vision science research. There are a number of active research groups within the school who are all undertaking leading-edge clinical, biomedical and vision research.
