Master of Arts in Latin American and Latino Studies

Entry requirements for 伊利諾大學芝加哥分校

Applicants are considered on an individual basis. The program will accept and review applications for the fall semester only. Transcripts for all undergraduate and any graduate work must be submitted. In addition to the Graduate College minimum requirements, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Baccalaureate Field No restrictions.
Grade Point Average At least 3.00/4.00 for the final 60 semester hours (90 quarter hours) of undergraduate study.
Minimum English Competency Test Score
TOEFL 80, with subscores of Reading 19, Listening 17, Speaking 20, and Writing 21 (iBT Internet-based), 60, with subscores of Reading 19, Listening 17, Writing 21 (New Paper-Based—after August 2018), 550 (Institutional Testing Paper-Based—prior to August 2018), OR,
IELTS 6.5, with subscores of 6.0 for all four subscores, OR,
PTE-Academic 54, with subscores of Reading 51, Listening 47, Speaking 53, and Writing 56.
Tests Required GRE.
Letters of Recommendation Three letters required, preferably from faculty members in social sciences and humanities.
Resume/CV A resume or CV is required.
Personal Statement Required. The statement must address the applicant's professional and academic goals and the candidate’s reasons for applying to a Latin American and Latino Studies graduate program. The statement should have a maximum extension of three double-spaced pages.
