關於課程
The BSc Actuarial Science and Mathematics programme is accredited by the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. Students graduating from the programme may be recommended for exemption from the CS1, CS2, CM1, CB1 and CB2 subjects depending on the performance in a particular set of course units. The course gives a firm foundation in Mathematics, together with specialist course units in Actuarial Science whilst giving you the opportunity to develop team working, communication and leadership skills.
The mathematical skills involved include most of the topics taught to students on the first year of the specialist mathematics degree i.e. covering aspects of pure and applied mathematics and statistics as well as some more general mathematics. As the course progresses, the statistical topics are explored in more detail. Courses in all areas of mathematics are used as a basis for some of the actuarial units.

Entry requirements for The University of Manchester - INTO UK
Applicants must demonstrate a broad general education including:
5 GCSES at Grade A/7 or B/6 (both numeric and letter grade) including:
Mathematics (minimum of a Grade 7)
English Languageis required at GCSE level with a minimum Grade of C / 4. GCSE English Literature will not be accepted in lieu of GCSE English Language.
International Baccalaureate - 36 points overall. 6,6,6 in Higher Level subjects to include 6 in HL Mathematics.
Changes to International Baccalaureate Diploma Mathematics Courses from September 2019, first examination 2021. We are aware of the planned changes to the IB Mathematics curriculum. IB students will be able to choose from: Mathematics: analysis and approaches and Mathematics: applications and interpretation from September 2019.
IELTS (Single Honours) with an overall score of at least 6.0 (including a writing score of at least 6.0 and no other component less than 5.5)
IELTS (Joint Honours) with an overall score of at least 6.5 (including a writing score of at least 6.0 and no other component less than 5.5)
TOEFL iBT - 80 (Single Honours)
TOEFL iBT - 90 (Joint Honours)
English language requirements
