The Bachelor of Arts in Psychology is a three-year program that provides students with foundational knowledge and skills in psychology as part of a comprehensive liberal arts program. Through this program, students gain a deep understanding of how human behaviour, cognitive functions, and emotional processes work based on evidence and conceptual research. They also learn about how physiological and biological processes can influence cognitive and emotional states, individual development and behaviour. A psychology degree is relevant to many career paths. Graduates will discover that studies in psychology are widely transferable and valuable across many industries and complement studies in areas such as the law, human resources and management, sociology, behavioural science, data analytics and social justice. Students explore the diagnosis and treatment of mental health difficulties while examining scientific methods used to analyse a wide range of topics related to mental health and behaviour. To further expand their knowledge, students can choose from a variety of second majors or minors that can complement their psychology studies and cater to their individual interests.

Entry requirements for 聖母大學

Applicants with recent Secondary Education:

NSW Applicants

Prescribed Selection Rank (ATAR plus Adjustment Factors), or
equivalent International Baccalaureate (IB).
WA Applicants

Prescribed Selection Rank (ATAR plus Adjustment Factors) of 70, or
equivalent International Baccalaureate (IB) of 24.
Applicants with Higher Education Study

Other university studies completed at undergraduate level or higher, a minimum of 2 successfully completed subjects,
OR
Successful completion of the Notre Dame Tertiary Pathway Program or of another Enabling Program at a level deemed sufficient by the University,
OR
Applicants who have successfully completed subjects at another University, which are relevant to the selected program of study, may be eligible for Advanced Standing.

Applicants with Vocational Education and Training (VET) study

Completed AQF Certificate IV or higher in a relevant discipline from an accredited provider such as TAFE or a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
Applicants with Work and Life Experience

Applicants who left secondary education more than two years previously and who have not undertaken VET or higher education study since then but with relevant work and life experience. Such experience may include, but is not limited to:

NSW Applicants

STAT scores of at least 150 in the Multiple Choice section and 150 in the Written English section are required
OR
Higher School Certificate (HSC) or equivalent results if these have been completed within the last 5 years.
WA Applicants

STAT scores of at least 135 in the Multiple Choice section and 140 in the Written English section are required
OR
Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) or equivalent results if these have been completed within the last 5 years.

IELTS Academic - 6.0 overall, with no individual band score lower than 6.0.
TOEFL (iBT) - 73 overall, with no band score lower than 18
