The University of Otago has a strong international reputation for biomedical research. The Master of Biomedical Sciences (MBiomedSc) is a one‑year thesis‑only postgraduate degree. It provides an excellent foundation for an academic or research career, and an internationally-recognised stepping stone for entry into a PhD programme.
Understanding human disease is key to the development of effective treatments. Students who complete Pathology papers at the University of Otago will have an integrated knowledge of the biology of disease. Our undergraduate Pathology papers at Otago provide a foundation for basic and translationally focused post-graduate research and graduate entry into professional programmes. A single discipline Pathology minor will produce graduates who can blend biomedical science with clinical knowledge to respond to global health challenges.

如何申請
Entry requirements for 奧塔哥大學
Admission to the programme shall be subject to the approval of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Health Sciences).
Every applicant must either
be a graduate of an Honours programme or a Postgraduate Diploma programme in a biomedical subject containing a research report, thesis preparation, or dissertation of at least one quarter of the programme, or
have alternative qualifications or experience acceptable to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Health Sciences).
Applicants must normally have achieved an average grade of at least B+ in the entry qualification with at least a B+ in the research component.
IELTS (Academic) - Overall score of 6.5, no individual band below 6.0.
TOEFL iBT - Overall score of 90 and a writing score of 21.
English language requirements
