Entry requirements for 阿拉巴馬大學

Admission is competitive and based on prior academic achievement, graduate record examination (GRE) scores, and recommendations. Minimum requirements comprise the following: A composite (verbal + quantitative) GRE score of 300 One of the following: Undergraduate overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4-point scale 3.0 GPA for the last 60 semester hours in a degree program If an applicant fails to meet both the entrance examination score and GPA requirements for regular admission, he/she may be eligible for conditional admission if he/she meets one of the two. In such instances, conditional admission is not guaranteed and is handled on a case-by-case basis. Preference is given to students who have strong backgrounds in the life sciences or related fields and meet the minimum requirements stated above. Graduate assistantships are prioritized for doctoral students but master’s students are still encouraged to apply. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): The minimum score for admission to a degree program or for non-degree admission is 550 on the paper-based TOEFL or 79 on the internet-based TOEFL (iBT). International English Language Testing System (IELTS): The minimum score for admission to a degree program or for non-degree admission is 6.5. Each international application must hold the equivalent of a U.S. four-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution to be eligible for graduate admission.
