Master of Arts in Anthropology

The Department of Anthropology’s integrated 4-field approach provides a strong knowledge base and research training for our graduate students. Student and Faculty conduct original research throughout Canada and around the world. Our graduate students complete rigorous thesis-based programs, which include course and field-work, preparing them to be successful in the field of anthropology upon graduation. Our Master of Arts programs train students in anthropological theory and methodologies through course and fieldwork, research, and the development of an original thesis. Our students graduate with knowledge and skills that prepare them to continue in academia or pursue professional careers both in and outside of anthropology.
