Entry requirements for 康乃狄克大學

Students with mathematics or natural science backgrounds may be admitted into a certain area of concentration but will be required to take undergraduate engineering courses, which cannot be counted towards graduate degree requirements
Applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related area from a college or university of recognized standing.

A minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or equivalent is recommended for admission into the MS program.
Applicants must submit official transcripts in sealed envelopes covering all previous undergraduate and/or graduate work.

Three letters of recommendation are required, preferably from faculty with whom the candidate has worked with or taken course(s). There is no specific form for the letters of recommendation. Letters are uploaded directly by the referees as part of the online application.
Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores are required for both domestic and international students. Minimum scores for the MS degree are: Verbal >150, Quantitative >155 and Writing > 4.5

If you submit results from the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), you need an average overall band score of at least 6.5. Only the scores from the Academic Module, not the General Training Module, are applicable.
Minimum scores for both the MS degree and Ph.D. degree are: paper-based >500, computer-based >213 and internet-based >80.
