Engage in literary study while developing your language skills in a cultural context and explore innovations in literature in their historical and national context
Learn important analytical techniques that will be useful across a range of subjects and research tasks
Spend your third year studying/ working abroad in a country where you can develop your chosen language
Get involved in activities outside class: language societies, tandem partnerships, liaison work in schools and the community such as our Translation Festival – the only public festival dedicated to translation in the UK
Excellent facilities on campus include our Special Collections relating to world-renowned writers, The Bill Douglas Cinema Museum which is a unique film and popular culture resource and our Digital Humanities Lab. Exeter has also recently been awarded UNESCO City of Literature status.

Entry requirements for 艾克斯特大學
AAA-ABB, IB: 36-32, BTEC DDD-DDM
Required subjects - GCE AL English Literature grade A and the required Modern Language grade B, IB English HL6 and MFL HL5. Candidates may offer either GCE AL English Literature or English Language and Literature. Candidates taking the IB should offer English syllabus A. Applicants studying a BTEC Extended Diploma will also require GCE AL English Literature or English Language and Literature. Modern Language requirements are dependent on your chosen language, In addition to the specific requirements listed above, we look for excellent A level* results/predictions and we may also take into account results up to and including GCSEs* and AS Levels* as part of our holistic assessment of an application. *Equivalent qualifications will be considered. IELTS (Academic) - at least 6.5 overall and no less than 6.0 in any other section, TOEFL IBT - at least 90 with minimum scores of 21 for writing, 21 for listening, 22 for reading and 23 for speaking
