關於課程
The MSc Cultural and Creative Industries degree offers students a roadmap to dynamic careers in related fields through understanding the cultural policies, governance and operation of cultural and creative industries. The programme also seeks to place cultural economies in the industrial context, and explore the applications and implications for contemporary industrial practices.
The MSc Cultural and Creative Industries runs under the newly established Academy of Film and Creative Technology and offers three pathways to suit the needs of our diverse student population.
Regardless of whichever pathway a student chooses, they will be engaged in cutting-edge media, technology and creativity. In addition to the subject matter, the programme also has strong entrepreneurial elements – a hallmark of all postgraduate courses from the Academy.
he three pathways are:
Content Producing: This pathway cultivates students to become content creators, producers, or other visual storytelling professionals such as filmmakers or production managers. It is suitable for (but not exclusive to) students with previous backgrounds in filmmaking, TV production, performing arts or other related disciplines.
Creative Industries: This pathway trains students to become creative developers and design managers that can work in industries designing products for media consumers. It is suitable for (but not exclusive to) students with previous backgrounds in industrial product design, visual communication design, computer science (such as game development), technology design or other related disciplines.
Cultural Industries: This pathway leads students to become cultural workers that understand and pursue the economic and ecological opportunities for cultural applications and issues. It is suitable for (but not exclusive to) students with previous backgrounds in literature, museology, library science or other related disciplines.
