The University of Massachusetts Amherst Clinical Psychology Program offers a PhD in Clinical Psychology and espouses the clinical science model of training. We prepare students for careers in clinical research. Faculty and students engage in basic and applied studies of psychopathology, development, emotion, cognition, psychotherapy, neuropsychology, and family systems. Students who are interested in research and academic careers will thrive in our program. Our program is a proud member of the Academy of Psychological Clinical Science. Within our doctoral program we offer a Concentration in Child, Adolescent, and Family (CAF) and maintain a strong relationship with the Center for Research on Families. The clinical program is also the home of the Rudd Adoption Research Program which conducts research on adoption and connects adoption research with policy and practice.

Entry requirements for 麻州大學阿默斯特分校

Applicants must complete a bachelor’s degree from a U.S. college or university accredited by a regional accrediting association, or complete an international degree that is equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree from a college or university recognized and approved by the Ministry of Education or Commission responsible for higher education in the country where the degree is earned. The minimum scores are 550 for the paper-based TOEFL test and 80 for the computer-based TOEFL test, 6.5 for the IELTS. Students are required to submit an explanation that address any grades falling below a letter grade B or a GPA of 3.0 by US standards.
