Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies- Women's Studies
關於課程
A concentration in Women's Studies provides advanced training and skills for both the workplace and nonprofit organizations. The employment outlooks provides flexible options for a career as it can prepare students for jobs in Advocacy, Counseling, Human rights, Law, and health. Other career options such as jornalism, politics, science and teaching can be considered although it may not directly focus on this study.
The Women's Studies concentration is unlike both the self-styled plan and the Interactive & Virtual Digital Communication program in that you do not need to choose three separate areas of study. Instead, you will choose from an array of courses in the program itself and other departments.
Courses are provided from a variety of disciplines as well as from the Women's Studies program itself. This structure allows students to tailor their course work to their career goals and creates a wide network of faculty interaction across campus. Courses examine women’s roles, activities and experiences through history and across cultures. The program expands understanding of gender differences, cultural diversity and social change through critical analysis and community interaction.
