The Department also participates in several multidisciplinary programs: Women's Studies (at the Master's level), Medieval and Renaissance Studies (at the Master's level), and Canadian Studies (at the Doctoral level), which allows students to acquire a specialization in one of these fields.

The master's program is offered on a full-time or part-time basis, the doctoral program is offered only on a full-time basis.
The programs are governed by the general regulations in force for graduate studies.

Entry requirements for 渥太華大學
All candidates must hold an advanced honours bachelor's degree, or specialized with a major, either in French literature or in French Studies or the equivalent obtained in an accredited university, with an average of at least 70% (B).
The candidate for admission to the field in creative writing must also present a file of texts representative of his writing.
In some cases, a candidate will instead be admitted to a propaedeutic program. This program will aim to provide the training required to pursue Master's studies in French Literature. Having successfully completed this program by obtaining an average of 70% (B) or higher, the candidate will be able to apply for admission to the master's degree.
