The Environmental Engineering Program at the University of Pittsburgh provides opportunities for graduate education and research in the science and engineering of water and wastewater treatment, water quality, solid and hazardous waste management, air quality control and environmental impact assessment at the MS level. The program has attained national and international prominence, with faculty serving on important governmental advisory committees as well as leading offices of major environmental education and professional societies. Graduates of the program are in great demand by consulting firms and government agencies and by research organizations and educational institutions. Students have unique opportunities for collaboration with engineering faculty as well as other professionals in public health, medicine, chemical and mechanical engineering, business and law. Students also may gain access to world-class general-use analytical and instrumentation facilities to support their academic interests.

如何申請
Entry requirements for 匹茲堡大學
DEGREE REQUIREMENTS: Degree in engineering or in hard sciences (such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science) or background equivalent to an undergraduate engineering degree in mathematics, physics, mechanics, and the courses basic to the program area of application is required.
QPA: An Undergraduate QPA equivalent to 3.00 for M.S., 3.30 for Ph.D., based on A = 4.00 is required.
LETTERS OF REFERENCE: Applicants must have their reference letters submitted electronically as part of the on-line admissions application process.
TRANSCRIPTS: Applicants are required to upload academic records from each academic institution (undergraduate and/or graduate) attended. Official, original academic credentials that are issued in a language other than English must be accompanied by a certified English translation. These will be considered unofficial copies.
It is the policy of the University of Pittsburgh to admit only those students with a TOEFL score of at least 550 (paper-based test), 213 (computer-based test) or 80 (internet-based).
It is the policy of the University of Pittsburgh to admit only those students with an IELTS score of at least 6.5.
