GRE (Graduate Record Examinations) Required. 3 Letters of Recommendation Required, Applicants to the Ph.D. degree programs in Interdisciplinary Theatre Studies need to include in their application a thoughtful statement about their interests in theatre research and the areas in which they might like to study, as well as a sample of their writing in the form of an advanced research paper. Applications are judged on the basis of the prospective student’s previous academic record, Graduate Record Exam (GRE) scores, references, personal statement, and writing sample. Official transcripts from each previous undergraduate or postgraduate institution. International academic records must be in the original language accompanied by an official English translation. Documents must be issued by the school and bear that institutions official seal/stamp and an official signature. A current CV specific to the student’s work in theatre and drama
A minimum undergraduate grade-point average (GPA) of 3.00 on the equivalent of the last 60 semester hours (approximately two years of work) or a master’s degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 is required. Applicants from an international institution must demonstrate strong academic achievement comparable to a 3.00 for an undergraduate or master’s degree.

The required proficiency scores are: Minimum TOEFL requirement: 92 internet (iBT), 580 paper-based test (PBT), Minimum IELTS requirement: 7.0
