As a UW student, you will learn from experienced faculty members as you perfect your literary analysis and writing skills and build literacy awareness. You will gain broad knowledge of pedagogy, assessment, and special education. Students will also take courses in linguistics, literature, and a foreign language. Teaching experiences, both virtual and in person, will help you gain the skills and confidence you will need to prepare for your future classrooms.
Learn from experienced faculty members and gain a concurrent major in English to perfect your content knowledge, literary analysis, and writing skills while honing your instructional expertise from English education faculty. As a student, you will gain a broad knowledge of pedagogy, assessment, and special education. Students will also take courses in linguistics, literature, and a foreign language. English education program is Nationally Recognized by the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) and the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). Graduates will leave the program with the ability to teach secondary students how to comprehend, analyze, understand, interpret, evaluate, and appreciate all types of texts. You will improve students? abilities to communicate their thoughts through writing and discussion in creative and reflective ways.

Entry requirements for 懷俄明大学
UW must receive official transcripts (mark sheets, transcripts, exam results, diploma, etc.) for admission. These documents must be original or certified true copies that are either sent directly from the school(s) in a sealed envelope or from a transcript evaluation agency such as World Education Services (WES) or any other evaluation agency listed as a member on the NACES website. All records should be submitted in the native language and accompanied with an official English translation.
High school students requesting admission as high school guests must submit transcripts demonstrating a cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (official high school transcripts must be sent directly from the high school to the Office of Admission), a written recommendation from a high school counselor or principal, and official ACT or SAT test scores, if any.
