Our Council for the Accreditation of Counseling (CACREP) accredited Counseling M.A. program is among the oldest and most prestigious counseling programs in the country. Our cutting-edge training approach offers hybrid and in-person courses that support students in simultaneously building foundational knowledge and clinical skills.
The CAAHEP - accredited Art Therapy program, integrated within Clinical Mental Health Counseling as a concentration in art therapy, prepares students as competent entry-level art therapists, in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains.
Students? CMHC AC programs culminate in applied clinical experience in our state-of-the-art, on-site training clinic and in off-campus internships. The counseling faculty believes that our students are the foundation of our program, and thus, we strive to offer top quality, hands-on training to prepare the most competent and ethical professional counselors and art therapists.

如何申請
Entry requirements for 韋恩州立大學
TOEFL - 79 internet-based (IBTT), 550 paper-based (PBTT). IELTS - 6.5.
A bachelor's degree in a related field (art, art education, psychology or other related major).*
At least 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) in studio art, including drawing, painting, and sculpture or ceramics.
At least 12 semester hours (or 22 quarter hours) in psychology including general psychology, abnormal psychology, and developmental psychology.*
Proficiency in drawing, painting, and sculpture. A portfolio of work is required ( minimum ten pieces accessible via a website URL or CD submission) demonstrating disciplined commitment to artmaking.
Three letters of recommendation: Preferably one affirming academic ability, one from a qualified professional who can evaluate ability to work with people, and one character reference.
Typed personal statement (approximately three pages) including reasons for wanting to pursue art therapy and counseling.
English language requirements
