Our MSc Engineering (Aeronautical) programme will enable you to develop a deep understanding and solid skills in applied aerodynamics and flight mechanics.
Aircraft aerodynamics and flying and handling performances are always the most important and challenging aspects of aircraft designs, particularly with the consideration of advanced materials and advanced aircraft technologies.
You will grasp detailed knowledge and critically analyse aircraft flight dynamic behaviour and apply modern control approaches for aircraft stability.
You will have access to a state-of-the-art Merlin flight simulator for designing and testing your own aircraft.
Learn and use cutting-edge design, analysis, and simulation software such as ANSYS.
Wrexham Glyndwr University is located nearby to one of the largest aircraft companies in the world, Airbus.
Close links with aviation industries, such as Rolls-Royce, Raytheon, and Magellan Aerospace.

Entry requirements for Wrexham Glyndwr University
Normal entry requirements for full-time and part-time intake will be one:
A Bachelor of Engineering Honours Degree, or other Bachelor Honours Degree, normally with an honour’s degree with at least a 2:2 classification or equivalent in an appropriate engineering discipline.
Applicants who do not meet the minimum entry requirement but have substantial professional experience in a relevant specialist area may be accepted, subject to interview and references.
Equivalent qualifications of another overseas country are deemed satisfactory by the program team.
Normally, the applicants who applied through entry points (b) and (c) will be required to attend an interview. This is not always possible, e.g., for overseas students, in which case the application form and ‘home’ tutor’s recommendations will be used to decide suitability, phone, internet and video conferencing may also be used. Places on the programmes will be offered based on applicants’ background qualifications and, where appropriate, experiences.
IELTS for UKVI (Academic)- 6.0 (with no individual skill score below 5.5),
TOEFL (IBT)- Minimum Overall: 79 With no individual test score below: Listening: 17, Reading: 18, Speaking: 20, Writing: 21
English language requirements
