Entry requirements for Macquarie University

In general, entry requires a Bachelor degree from a recognised institution considered equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree (Level 7 on the Australian Qualifications Framework). Some courses may require previous study or work experience in a related area, a higher level qualification such as an Honours Bachelor (AQF Level 8), or other additional entry criteria that must be satisfied.

Master of Applied Linguistics and TESOL
Hold a related merit-based Honours (AQF 8), Graduate Diploma (AQF 8) in TESOL
or
AQF Level 7 bachelor?s qualification in a related field AND two years full-time (or part-time equivalent) relevant approved work experience in TESOL with a recognised educational institution. Meeting the work experience requirement does not guarantee admission at the 1 year entry point, and the selection committee will need to consider the detailed nature of the applicant's work experience in order to make a determination.
or
AQF Level 8 Graduate Certificate in TESOL AND one years full-time (or part-time equivalent) relevant approved work experience in TESOL with a recognised educational institution. Master of Accounting
AQF level 7 bachelor's qualification in a related field or recognised equivalent, or
AQF level 7 bachelor's qualification or recognised equivalent, and minimum two years relevant approved work experience, professional certification or other recognised prior learning

Academic IELTS of 6.5 overall with minimum 6.0 in each band or equivalent TOEFL iBT 83 with Reading 13, Writing 21, Listening 12 and Speaking 18
