The Discipline offers supervision in a wide area of medical interest. To pursue either degree, potential candidates should discuss the matter with the Head of Discipline.
The Academic Department of Paediatrics University of Galway is located in the Clinical Science Institute of University of Galway. The academic team is comprised of Professor, Senior Lecturer, Lecturer, Tutors and Honorary Clinical Lecturers.
In addition to paediatric teaching and instruction at University Hospital Galway, clinical teaching and experience is delivered at the University of Galway affiliated hospitals/medical academies including, Mayo General Hospital Castlebar, Sligo General Hospital, Letterkenny General Hospital and Portiuncula Hospital Ballinasloe.

Entry requirements for University of Galway

MD candidates should normally have a high honours standard in Medicine from NUI Galway or possess qualification deemed to be equivalent. Candidates shall be eligible to register onto the MD programme, three years after obtaining the Degree of Bachelor of Medicine. The application will also require support of an academic staff member who is approved by the College to supervise the research in terms of its nature and scope.

IELTS- 6.5 overall no less than 6.5 in any one component.
TOEFL- 88 overall
