A Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Science prepares students to work with children, families, adolescents, and adults in a variety of human service and community settings. In addition to studying at the Kingston Campus, HDF undergraduate majors can complete some or all of their degree program at the Feinstein Providence Campus, which offers a more urban environment.

Within the major, you will be able to choose among a variety of professional preparation concentrations and certificate options.

Entry requirements for University of Rhode Island

Submit secondary school documents including results and certificates of completion from national secondary school examinations (if applicable). Scans/copies of original academic documents are accepted for admission purposes. Submit TOEFL/IELTS scores. You may submit a copy of your official scores. TOEFL iBT: minimum score of 79 (Pharm.D. applicants 100) IELTS: minimum score of 6.5 (Pharm.D. applicants 7.0). Applicants who have attended a secondary school or post-secondary school where the language of instruction is English may be exempt from submitting an English proficiency examination depending upon their English grades (AP, IB, O level, A-level, GCSE, American Curriculum) and their Critical Reading and Writing SAT and/or ACT scores (if submitted).
