IDP Philippines welcomes Global Leadership Team; holds first townhall with Intake

IDP Philippines officially kick off 2023 by welcoming the IDP Global Leadership Team (GLT) and new colleagues from Intake last January 19 at the recently opened IDP Makati Office.

Murray Walton, IDP Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO), led the event opening and ribbon cutting ceremonies. Members of the IDP GLT and Intake were greeted with a dance performance from IDP Education Counselors and staff, highlighting the beauty and diversity of the Philippine cultures and traditions.

The short program was preceded by a quick tour around the new IDP Makati Office and followed by a townhall meeting, where Murray Walton presented the latest updates about IDP, the integration of the Intake teams, and commended IDP Philippines’ performance for the past year.

“We’re so proud to see the ambitious growth happening here in the Philippines and I know how much hard work has been going on behind the scenes. I am extremely proud of what your teams have been able to achieve in the past couple of months: opening offices and IELTS labs in Pampanga, Baguio, Bacolod, Davao, and recently here in Makati city,” said Mr. Walton. 

The interim CEO also mentioned how everyone from IDP is excited for the next chapter with Intake as both teams come together. “We hope you’re feeling ready for an awesome year with more exciting growth, as well as welcoming our wonderful Intake colleagues,” he added.

Meanwhile, IDP Philippines Country Director, Jose Miguel Habana highlighted how the coming together of IDP and Intakes’ diverse teams help in achieving global success.

“Despite hailing from different backgrounds, different countries, and different cultures, we all come together with one common goal – and that is to help others fulfill their dreams of studying, working, or migrating abroad. With more than 50 years of delivering global success, we can proudly say that one of the reasons that we continue to excel is our unity in diversity,” said Mr. Habana.

The IDP Global Leadership Team’s visit and townhall meeting was concluded with a socialization activity between members of the IDP and Intake teams.

IDP aims to continue to become the global leader for students pursuing an overseas education, with over 100 offices worldwide. In September 2022, IDP announced its intention to welcome Intake Education, a leading international education organization, into its global team. Intake’s employees will bring additional expertise, experience, and diversity to IDP’s global team of 5,000 employees.
