Selection criteria:

Papers will be submitted to the selection committee from the professor who graded the assignment as part of their Fall or Winter term course in Anthropology, Economics or Political Science.

Nominations will be reviewed by the selection committee within the Department of Anthropology, Economics and Political Science.

Ideally, the selection committee will select one paper from each of the three disciplines (Anthropology, Economics and Political Science) and one paper from an Honours student. Adjudication will be based on the quality of the papers nominated.

Recipients will be notified via e-mail. Committee selections are final, appeals will not be considered.

Typically given out in the Spring/Summer term.

Criteria

To be considered for this award, students must:

  • Be registered as a full-time student
  • Be registered for an Anthropology, Economics or Political Science course at MacEwan University and
  • Submit a paper as part of the assessment for their course in either the Fall or Winter term, in the subject areas of Anthropology, Economics or Political Science.

Disbursement Criteria

For funds to be disbursed, successful applicants must be enrolled in a full-time course load and be in good academic standing.

Students do not apply directly for this award. Selections are completed by nomination and based on academic achievement.
