Ireland Border Status Updates for International Students

Updated as of July 13, 2022

Ireland is open to international students seeking to further their education abroad. As of May 11, 2022, international students are no longer required to show a proof of their vaccination, proof of recovery, or a negative PCR test test result when they arrive in Ireland.

Post-arrival testing or quarantine requirements are also not required. However, international students who exhibit COVID-19 symptoms must follow the HSE guidance in isolation and undergo an antigen or PCR test.

Meanwhile, wearing masks is no longer mandatory. However, they are still advised to be worn on public transport and in healthcare settings.
