Federation University Australia was formed when the former University of Ballarat and the Gippsland Campus of Monash University were amalgamated. The University's history dates back to 1870. Students can join a whole new generation of thinkers, shapers and creators chasing their ambitions at FedUni. As one of Victoria's 5-star universities, it offers over 400 programs from short courses to degrees and beyond. Students can select from a wide range of study areas including business, education, engineering, information technology, nursing and healthcare, performing and visual arts, psychology, science and mathematics and sport, outdoor and physical education.

University is a great place to try something new or continue developing in something they are passionate about. Clubs and societies are the perfect platform to get involved in and to get that little bit extra out of their university experience. The university has over 30 clubs and societies across its Ballarat, Gippsland and Berwick campuses. Also, FedUni provides many opportunities for students to participate in sport and recreational activities both on and off campus.

Federation University Australia is regional Victoria's largest education institution, with campuses in Ballarat, Berwick, Brisbane, Gippsland and the Wimmera providing easy access to study, and approximately 1,300 staff committed to teaching excellence and student support.
