New School of Digital Arts launched in 2021

The School of Digital Arts (SODA) was a GBP 35 million investment to develop the next generation of creative talent and support the demand for skilled workers in the creative, digital and tech sectors.

The new building has a digital innovation lab, green screens, editing suites, screening space, a media gallery, and production, sound and music studios.

Business School

Manchester Metropolitan University Institute of Sport

The Institute of Sport is a world-class centre for research, teaching and learning that unites expertise from across the university – encompassing science, healthcare, business, and fashion. The institute is equipped with the latest technologies to help students and researchers succeed, including human performance laboratories, specialist spaces for musculoskeletal science and sports medicine, and an environmental chamber that simulates extreme temperatures and altitudes.

New Science and Engineering building

The new building, officially known as the Dalton building, will provide new and improved study areas and catering facilities, as well as enhanced teaching spaces for the Faculty of Science and Engineering. It is due for completion in Autumn 2023.

Other study options

There are several routes open to students who don't have the entry requirements for direct entry on to undergraduate or postgraduate programmes. Foundation courses provide students with the level of knowledge needed to secure a place at Manchester Metropolitan University. Students can also opt to take preparation courses that lead to the second year of undergraduate courses and to postgraduate programmes.

Pre-sessional English courses and free English language support is available for international students who do not meet the English language requirements of their degree course. The intensive programmes prepare students for study in the UK and are available at various start dates throughout the year.

Undergraduate application (foundation year and undergraduate study)

UCAS is the online application system that students must use to apply for undergraduate study. Manchester Metropolitan University's institution code is ‘M40'. Students should ensure that this code is entered clearly on their application form, together with the code for the course they wish to apply for. Students should follow the below steps:

• Pay the deposit amount that will be confirmed with the offer letter from the university and will be deducted from the student's total tuition fees.

Postgraduate application

Students can apply online for most postgraduate taught courses. Standard supporting documents include:
