University of Aberdeen - ISC - Study Group UK

The University of Aberdeen International Study Centre is students first step to achieving their degree from one of the UK’s oldest universities. It is based on the University of Aberdeen campus, so students can feel integrated into university life from their very first day. As an International Study Centre student, they will firstly be based with ISC to develop the skills they need to progress to degree level study. Students will be living and learning with other international students, discovering university and UK life together.

Understanding how challenging it can be for students to study at a university when they aren’t used to the local education system, the International Study Centre provides specially designed pathway programmes taught by expert staff, ensuring students build the language, academic and study skills they would need at the University. Their support range includes courses designed in collaboration with the University, academic guidance from tutors who are experts in international education, study plans to keep you on track to reach your goals and time to adapt to the complexities of the Scottish university system.

ISC also offer an integrated careers service within their programmes called CareerAhead. Designed to complement students’ academic studies, CareerAhead allows students to spend time developing their employability skills to create a well-rounded learning experience. The institute will help students to expand upon their teamwork, problem solving and communication abilities, which will help them at university and in their career.

Scotland’s third largest city, Aberdeen is located on the north-east coast of Scotland. The city itself if famous for its historical production of granite, something that is still evident today in the distinct grey buildings which sparkle silver and make Aberdeen such a unique place to visit. Aberdeen is also known as the sunniest city in Scotland, and with a campus that’s only twenty minutes’ walk from the city centre, students will have plenty of opportunity to get outside and explore their new home.
