UHart is a diverse institution with a global reach, as students from approximately 50 countries come to study at one of its seven distinctive schools and colleges every year.

The University helps students partner their passion with their dream profession. With seven schools and colleges, it offers over 100 majors ranging from business, nursing, education, and arts, to religious studies and chemistry. UHart faculty are practicing artists, ground-breaking researchers, published authors, global visionaries, and downright brilliant scholars. With an 8:1 student-faculty ratio, students will interact with colleagues, professionals, and faculty across a diverse range of thought and experience during their time here at the University.

Part of the beauty of UHart is that it encourages students to embrace their college experience, and provide the support to help them do it, every step of the way. UHart students have access to an exceptional Center for Student Success. The national and global contributions of University of Hartford alumni, a community of more than 85,000 and counting, reflect the wide range of academic disciplines offered by the institution’s schools and colleges. UHart graduates are engineers, scientists, professional athletes, and performing artists. They are health professionals, journalists, educators, and entrepreneurs.

The 350-acre campus, with a branch of the Park River winding through it, sits at the crossroads of Hartford, Connecticut’s capital city, and the vibrant towns of West Hartford and Bloomfield. Boston and New York City are two hours away, and New England’s beaches, mountains and cultural attractions are easily accessible.
