Overview
The University of South Australia (UniSA) is a globally recognised institution, renowned for its research, diverse faculty, and academic excellence. Based in Adelaide, its six campuses are home to over 37,000 students from across the world.
Offering over 200 world-class degrees, the university has been ranked within the top 50 universities under the age of 50 by both Times Higher Education Young University Rankings (2020) and QS Top 50 Universities Aged Under 50 Rankings (2021). Many of its degrees provide work experience opportunities, where students can practice their classroom skills.
The university provides students with high-class learning spaces and technologies. UniSA has been rated five stars for its excellence in research, employability, teaching, facilities, internationalisation, inclusiveness and innovation (QS Stars Ratings 2020).
Recognised as one of Australia's most internationally diverse universities for teaching staff (QS World University Rankings 2021), there are over 2,000 expert staff across seven departments.
Several of its programmes have been ranked by the prestigious QS and THE Subject Rankings (2021), including in the top 100 worldwide for nursing, hospitality, and exercise and sports science.
With a reputation for strong research, 100 per cent of UniSA's assessed research has been rated above world-class (Excellence in Research for Australia 2018).
UniSA has strong partnerships with more than 2,500 institutions, including 89 global universities, research organisations and employers. It has been rated the top young university in Australia for industry collaborations (THE Young University Rankings 2020).
The university has an alumni community of over 226,000 members, and 91.1 per cent of undergraduate students are in full-time employment three years after graduating (Graduate Outcomes Survey 2020).
The University is based in Adelaide – a city which has been ranked as the world's third most liveable city by the 2021 Economist Intelligence Unit's Global Liveability Index.
