Yorkville University is a private higher educational institution established in 2003, which offers a comprehensive selection of career-furthering undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the business, creative arts, interior design, behavioral sciences, and education.

The university offers a wide range of online program options, alongside brick-and-mortar campuses in Vancouver, British Columbia, and Toronto, Ontario.

Yorkville's educational mission is to offer flexible, rigorous, and career-oriented programs to students, while guiding them onto a purposeful and fulfilling life pathway. What's new

Dhvani Savaliya, a Bachelor of Interior Design student from India, has been honored with the prestigious 2023 Gary Hewson Scholarship by ARIDO. This scholarship recognizes outstanding peer mentorship, leadership, and community involvement.

As an interior design intern at Ray Inc., Savaliya expressed her gratitude for the industry recognition, considering it a pivotal moment in her career. She attended the 40th Annual ARIDO Awards Gala, where she networked with industry professionals, gaining valuable insights into Ontario's design industry. This isn't Savaliya's first accolade from ARIDO this year she also received the 2023 CTI Working Environments Scholarship for her commitment to community service and volunteerism. These achievements highlight the excellence of our Bachelor of Interior Design program graduates.

Jax Guillen, a Bachelor of Creative Arts student from Philippines, has made waves with her short film "Ivory Tulle," selected for the prestigious CineFAM Annual Film Festival. The festival, running from Dec. 8-10 at Toronto's TIFF Bell Lightbox, highlights original narratives by Canadian women and non-binary creators of color.

Featuring an all-Filipino cast, "Ivory Tulle" follows Teresa, a bride-to-be navigating familial pressures surrounding her estranged father's invitation to her wedding. Nominated for Best Picture at the 2023 TFS Festival of Films, this nine-minute film marks Guillen's inaugural contribution to amplifying Filipino representation in cinema.

Yorkville University offer an impressive program of undergraduate and postgraduate education and has managed to make its curriculum available across a number of program structures and delivery options. With a huge focus on flexible learning that allows students to complete their degree in part-time and online study modes, the university facilitates students to continues with professional work and other life commitments while gaining a Yorkville qualification.

There are accelerated program options and year-round start dates to ensure that incoming students can tailor their education to suit them best. It also allows students to complete a four-year degree in as few as two and a half years.

On-campus programs are delivered at the university's two city-based locations in Vancouver, British Columbia, and Toronto, Ontario. The following programs are available at these campuses:

Entry requirements

Entry requirements

Yorkville University offers a range of high-quality programs spanning a range of subject areas, and offered at a selection of academic entry points, including both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as full-time, part-time, and online modes of attendance.

As such, specific admission requirements will vary based on the specific details of the program being applied to, and prospective applicants are encouraged to visit their program pages to familiarize themselves with any key details before submitting their application.

The Yorkville University's admissions team encourages any applicants with an interest in gaining a quality education to apply, since the team will consider each candidate on their individual merits, and there are many alternative pathways to enrolment.

Applications are submitted online and are received on a rolling basis throughout the year. There is a CAD 150 fee to make an application, and undergraduate students will need to submit the following information.

  • Official high school transcript
  • Average academic score: Canadian equivalent of 65 percent (or international equivalent)
  • Evidence of English language proficiency: (IELTS - 6.5 TOEFL IBT - 80 Duolingo - 105 PTE - 58)
  • Statement of interest
  • Resume

Overall, the university has an acceptance rate of 88 percent, making it a lightly selective institution, with nearly nine out of every ten applicants successfully gaining admission, providing educational opportunities to those who deserve it.

Yorkville University invests heavily into its academic facilities, ensuring that every student has the equipment, resources, and support needed to make the most of their education and achieve their goals.

On-campus students benefit from state-of-the-art classrooms, furnished with the latest teaching technologies supplemented by a host of IT support and online resources.

Yorkville's Vancouver campus is located on Canada's west coast, embedded within a truly global city with a superb quality of life. The university's Toronto campus is located in a vibrant, multicultural hub of business and design, in the center of the country.

Each campus is a self-contained learning environment, providing the ideal facilities and amenities to progress students through their program and on to the career of their choosing.

Online students complete their education though the university's Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) which is a sophisticated digital platform through which the entirety of their program is delivered. This includes everything from accessing course material to receiving and submitting assignments, getting feedback from tutors, and building a supportive communicative group with peers. Students each have the advantage of being able to study from anywhere around the world.

Scholarships & funding

Scholarships & funding

Yorkville University works hard to create funding opportunities for its students, and offers a limited number of scholarships and bursaries each year to eligible students, allowing them to reduce their tuition and fee costs – most international students will be awarded a CASD 10,000 bursary upon successful admission.

Some of the other awards offered include:

Bachelor of Business Administration on Campus Bursaries

All new Bachelor of Business Administration students who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents can apply for a 35 percent tuition bursary courses completed on campus in Vancouver and Toronto.

Canadian Armed Forces Bursary

Anyone currently serving in the Canadian Forces or has served more than two years is eligible for a 25 percent tuition bursary.

Indigenous Student Tuition Bursary

The Indigenous Student Tuition Bursary covers 25 percent of tuition fees and will be available to all new and current Canadian citizens or permanent residents with Indigenous ancestry.

New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) Bursary

Yorkville University offers a 30 percent tuition rebate to NBCC graduates, staff and faculty.

The Jacob Markovitz Memorial Scholarship

The Jacob Markovitz Memorial Scholarship is a need-based scholarship that is available to new students entering their first trimester of study in the Master of Education, or the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program at Yorkville University. The equivalent of one scholarship will be awarded in each master's program in each academic trimester and will be equivalent to one year of full tuition.

United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) Bursary

In honor of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), international students showing proof of US or Mexican citizenship will pay the domestic tuition rate for Yorkville University programs, instead of the international rate.

LDC International Bursary

Students from Less Economically Developed communities are eligible for a CAD 10,000 bursary towards tuition fees.
