Guardian (Does Not Constitute Legal Guardianship)
If you’re under 18 we’ll find you a guardian.
If you are under 18 when you start your studies and you require the education provider to issue a Confirmation of Appropriate Accommodation and Welfare document (CAAW), the Australian government requires you to have approved welfare arrangements (Guardian – Not Legal Guardianship). We can assist you to find the relevant institutions to provide approved welfare arrangements. IDP Education have chosen ISA Student Advocates to assist providing approved welfare services to our students.
Guardians you can trust
The IDP has access to a national network of caring and experienced guardians.
If you don’t have a family member in your city, we can connect you to a professional and experienced support person who can be your official guardian.
All guardians will have been through rigorous police checks in accordance with Australian law.
Dedicated support
Your guardian’s goal is to support you on your student journey.
They’ll stay in regular contact with you, your parents and your education provider.
You’ll also find your guardian helpful in other ways like settling you in and giving study advice. They’ll even help you meet new people and discover social and extra-curricular activities.
