Immigration, health surcharge, or I guess it's pretty much like a compulsory fees for international students before they submit their visa application, and what I actually provide for international students would be the accessibility to any medical practice in the UK during the entire duration of their studies.

Immigration Health Surcharge or IHS is an additional fee you pay when you apply for your visa, and this means that when you come to the UK, you can access our health services, you can register with the doctor, you can get prescriptions. So no need to worry about extra medical insurance. Just pay the IHS.

Hi, guys, I'm from Coventry, so this surcharge makes up a part of your visa application and essentially you can think of it like health insurance. Once you pay this, then during the time that you're a student here in the UK, you have access, in fact, unlimited access to our NHS, which is what we call the National Health Service. You can go to your GP, you can go to a hospital, you can seek treatment, and all of it will be covered under this. Payment that you pay upfront is a part of your visa application.

So the immigration health surcharge is just a fee that all international students coming to the U.K. will have to pay in order to get free access to the National Health Service. So this is the NHS and the students, if they ever need medical attention, will be able to access it for free once they have paid this charge.

The immigration health surcharge cost four hundred and seventy pounds per academic year, and what this does is this gives you access to all the services that the NHS offer. So if you are in need of medical attention whilst in the UK, you can use the NHS just like a British citizen.
