    As such half our largest co-op programs in Canada, at UOttawa. Most of our co-op options are paid. In general, we have 97 percent of our co-op placement rate and our students can earn between thirty five thousand dollars to forty five thousand dollars during their studies.     Co-op placements depend on the company and the program that a student has chosen, but yes, co-op placements are typically paid. Besides the fact that they're a paid work employment, which is a great perk for students. The other benefit is that you are gaining experience related to your studies, which can be very, very helpful when you're applying for jobs after graduation.

    So, at the University of Toledo, all of our engineering students have the opportunity to complete three paid co ops. For engineering science students, it's mandatory. For engineering technology students, it is optional. However, students get paid around $10,000 per co op, $30,000 total to gain that industry experience. That is going to be a wonderful opportunity for you to gain experience alongside of that financial support.
