So what should you pack when you come to the UK? Definitely think about the clothing, especially at the time of year that you may be coming, whether it's a September or a January intake. Think about the weather conditions. But really important. I always say to students, make sure that you bring home comforts. Obviously, things are allowed to be well with you, but home comforts that remind you of home, that make your accommodation or where you're living more homely and of course, your documentation that you would need in order to travel and arrive in the UK.

Hi, my name is Meritza and I am from Aberystwyth University. So, the top three things that we recommend to international students to bring with them and coming to the U.K. are as follows. 1. bring a nice warm winter coat to keep you warm, especially if you are travelling from a tropical country, you will definitely need one 2. bring a raincoat for the rainy days. 3. bring some walking boots, especially if you're coming to Aberystwyth.

Hello from Cardiff, Matt. So let's start with the essentials you're going to need your passport and I.D. cards, import and travel documents such as your car's visa and travel documents. You're going to need credit cards and some cash, any prescribed medicines to keep you going until you register with the UK doctor. And if you got all that, you will survive. But we recommend you bring a mixture of clothing, warm clothing, some treats, your mask, woolly hat, and the rest is up to you.

Hi again, this is Ludo from the University of Reading. So as an international student myself when I came into the UK, I wasn't fully aware of the weather. So my advice to you will be to get a) an umbrella with you, a pair of gloves and a pair of waterproof shoes. The weather can change quite quickly, so therefore it's important that you keep yourself warm, especially your feet.

Hi, guys, Florizza from Coventry University here. So three things that you should bring with you when you move to the UK to study. I recommend number one to bring a waterproof jacket. This can be a life jacket or a thick jacket that you should bring with you to keep you dry. Number two, to a compact umbrella and number three Wellington boots. Now, you may choose to buy them here in the UK, maybe too Wookey for your suitcase, but those are the three things that will keep you warm when you walk to your lectures from your accommodation.

The most important thing for an international student to travel with is the correct documentation to help them through the UK border, check the UK government website before you leave your home country and make sure that all of this documentation is up to date. Also, bring something that reminds you of home, something that will help you settle into your new accommodation and help you with any homesickness that you may have. And remember that we have lots of shops here that sell clothes that suit our climate. So don't bring too many things with you.

I would not recommend students to carry such heavy utensils as these are easily available in the UK. Please don't forget to get some warm clothes and do carry lots of family and friends. But just.

So there are three areas that I would recommend No one over, documents you would need. So this could be to do with your study visa and your passport. Number two would be your hand luggage. So this is going to be charges, adapters, cash, medication are things that you would easily want to have to hand to travel with you. Number three is your main luggage. So this would be clothing, pictures, anything that's personal to you that you want to bring, but not too much, because we do have plenty of shopping in the UK.

My name is Megan and the deputy head of international student recruitment here at Queen Mary, University of London. What should students pack when they come to the UK? Don't bring too much. Of course, bring the clothes that you need and any creature comforts from home. But London has lots of stores where you can buy things like clothing, kitchen accessories and school supplies. So you can do some of your shopping when you get here. There are a few things that might be different from home, like different electrical plugs or different bed sizes. So it's good to leave those and items to purchase when you come to the UK.
