Hello, everyone. This is Edna from Northern College, again. Regarding to the question, which city is best for international students? I think that's really depends on, different people will have different answers. My suggestion is that, ask yourself first what you are looking for in the destination city, you are going to study in Canada. And then do some homework, search online to see which Canadian city have those characters you are looking for.

Making the choice on which city to study in will come down to a lot of different factors for international students and their families. Of course, it will come down to the educational programs available, the values of the city and, of course, the cost of living, among many others. I really encourage international students to do a lot of research prior to making this decision because it will affect not only your studies, but your happiness while you're there. And I really do think that this answer will differ from student to student.

Every Canadian city has its own character, so it really depends what you're looking for. I chose the city of Edmonton to study at the University of Alberta. Since then, I've fallen in love with this city. We have just over a million people living here now for all the benefits of city life without being overwhelmed by density. It's one of the most affordable places to live in Canada with lower cost of living and taxes than any other major city. We have hundreds of festivals every year and events and things to do and are just a couple of hours drive from the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

I would say it depends on what the student really wants, because if they are much more in touch with nature, I would say areas such as Halifax, Nova Scotia or even Winnipeg, Manitoba, these are for the ones that prefer more laid back environment, but for students who prefer something much more urban than the city life. Vancouver, Toronto will be the better option.

The city of Ottawa consistently ranks among one of the best cities to live in, in the world and in Canada, according to students, it's the best city to live in as a student. These same students related the fact that they love living in a city where the cost of living is far lower than other cities across Canada, where there's nature at their doorstep and a bunch of world class amenities available to them throughout the year.

There are many wonderful cities in Canada, but I recommend selecting a small to medium sized city such as Thunder Bay and Aurelia, where you can really get involved with the community. There are wonderful opportunities to explore the outdoors and really gain a truly Canadian experience.

When choosing a study destination, there is no one. Size fits all. Answer for which city is best. When choosing a city, student should consider size. For example, do you want a big city experience? Do you prefer a small town? Or perhaps you want something rural? The cost of living, the proximity to your family or relatives. Accessibility. What is it like to travel to that city from your home town? Or even long term considerations like employment rates and the job market.
